🌊 We made waves at the Railyard Market, where Explora shared hands-on water and power activities co-created with Sandia National Laboratories Water Power Organization.
Families explored wave energy, ship stability, and how STEAM careers in sustainability and renewable energy can shape the future. We were proud to connect with youth and families to spark curiosity around renewable energy, water, and sustainability, and to encourage young minds to imagine themselves in STEAM careers.💡
Our table featured two interactive activities co-created with SNL: one on wave energy, where participants explored how ocean waves can be used to generate electricity; and another on ship stability, helping learners understand how a boat`s center of mass and buoyancy affect its balance, just like real engineers.
Families engaged with real-world challenges and innovations in water power, while also learning about local STEM career pathways that could shape their futures. 🚀

Explora is excited to announce we`ve received grant funds awarded by the Devasthali Family Foundation Fund!
These funds are awarded with assistance from the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico @YourCFSNM and will support outreach efforts with our community partners in Doña Ana, Luna, Grant, and Otero Counties.
