Interested in working with lasers?
How about microwave technology?
If your answer to either question is "yes," there`s an opportunity this summer for you to learn from top scientists and engineers at UNM`s Directed Energy Center (DEC), and get paid!
Between June and July, you will be spending 10–15 hours a week to help with projects using cutting-edge laser and microwave technology. You will experience what it`s like to work in a cleanroom. You also will spend 5–10 hours a week at X Studio, developing a variety of workforce skills. DEC is the only academic center in the country conducting state-of-the-art research in laser and microwave technology, so this internship will be an amazing résumé-booster and a great stepping stone for college degrees or cool careers!
